Spammed by Islamic Reformers

Once in a while FFI gets spammed and it's the usual pron-related stuff but recently someone claiming to be from GSMGSERVICES registered and posted this thread advertizing a new fil entitled The Third Jihad. One response from a fellow FFIer was this:
expozIslam: shouldn't this thread be deleted and the id blocked? this is sheer wastage of everyone's time.
I had to respond and so I did with my answer being:

Actually not. The fact that the narrator proclaims himself to be a "devout Muslim" and trundles out his C.V. as well as telling viewers that he "resents how the religion he loves is being mis-represented" should tell us a thing or two.

The 30 minute trailer can be viewed here.

First of all, there are a lot of nominal Muslims who refuse to wake up to the fact that it is the jihadis who have the backing of the central texts of Islam and not people like him. Second of all, there are plenty of people who are ex-Muslims (need I name names?) who still have a hard time facing up to the reality of Islam. This film in particular, is a very public attempt at portraying Islam as "a religion of peace that has been hi-jacked" and it is no coincidence that it is being publicized in this day and age. With a naive president in the White House who blithely ignored the core issues surrounding Islam when the subject of his attendance at an Islamic school in Indonesia became an election campaign issue this example shows that claiming to be a "moderate Muslim" still has a certain cache that appeals to liberals who long for the sense of security that his kind provides. It also serves the purpose of mitigating the shock and embarrassment that many liberals and leftists have experienced when confronted with the ever-growing pile of atrocities being accumulated in the name of Allah. For so many years people like Zuhdi Jasser have been refusing to face the truth about Islam and his response to the question put forth by Glenn Beck is typically evasive.
"The influence is basically political Islam. . . . which is you're not having sermons being given out that are about the love of God. They're hearing about every plight to blame the West and in exchange they have nothing to offer other than hate."
There is very liitle in the Q'uran and hadiths that even mention the love of God and Rudy Guiliani's quote that "there is something in the psychological make up of many people to wish the threat of militant Islam away" is actually very applicable to Jasser's remark about the nature of Muslim sermons in mosques in America today. Funny how that popped up. Even if the topic of the real Islam that we know to be true will not be faced up to in this film.

If one of us produced a movie which highlights a narrated English translation of the Muslim Brotherhood's stated aims in the USA we would be attacked without mercy by leftists and Muslims. In fact, we would be attacked in much the same fashion that Bat Y'eor's take on Eurabia has been vilified as well as Geert Wilder's film FITNA. However, since this guy is a "moderate Muslim" it is very likely that much of the negative response will be muted and confined to jihadis, crude Marxists and the odd person claiming to be an anarchist. It's a clever ploy and something I'm sure the makers of this movie had given plenty of thought to.

Imam Abdul Alim Musa's claim that Islam will come to America like how Christianity came to Rome is so typically a-historical that it is laughable but then again we have a huge audience of people in the West nowadays who have no idea of how Christianity became the state religion of Rome in the first place. It's likely that even Imam Musa doesn't even know that so this is a classic example of "Islamic blowback" in which Muslims believe in their own lies as well as distortion of the basic facts of history. But give him credit for one thing. He is honest about how Muslims will use subterfuge in the most pernicious ways to gain influence.

At 26:45 there is an excerpt from an interview on Palestinian television which shows the female interviewer without any head covering while talking to a mother of a martyr. This is something that somehow confuses some leftists I know who don't understand who dress codes can vary in enforcement from one Muslim society to another and how so much of that depends on the attitude of fathers. After viewing the bit about how dress codes are enforced in Iran and then seeing the interview I'm sure that they are getting dizzy but that's normal for them so let's keep on. This 32 minute (or FREE 30-minutes LOL ) film excerpt is about dodging the real issue and it isn't about "political Islam" or "militant Islam" or even "Islamism". The real issue is about Islam in it's entirety and the memeplex that serves as a platform for the various cults that exist within Islam.

They have their supporters with the likes of Robert Spencer, Steve Emerson, Daniel Pipes and others to back them up in their claim that "Islam has been hi-jacked" but in the end it is those of us who understand that Islam itself is the problem and that we are basically still alone after all these years after 9-11 when it comes to educating the world about Islam so it can be eradicated. The reformers yearn for respectability at the expense of honesty and a film like this shouldn't surprise any of us.

What else can be said? This is a marketing scheme geared along the lines of the "Great White Hope" for those who long for Islam to be "just a religion just like any other" and yes, it is spam but it is spam that we can make use of by getting our message across. From what can be seen from this excerpt the "reformers" of Islam have yet to tread upon the subject of how they think Islam can be reformed. In fact, they don't even challenge the verses cited by Muslim clerics concerning jihad. Oftentimes they are of upper middle class background and appear to have led sheltered lives in the West and have not really seen how dysfunctional Muslim minds are and that simply stopping sharia (or "soft" or "cultural jihad") is the solution. Deep down there is a refusal to come to terms with the fact that they have been fooled and it shows with certain personalities who show a definite lack of curiosity about the world and life around them.
